Well I taught my last two art classes today. 14 wks. So much fun. Will write more about it later.

New WIP

Here is a new WIP that was a sample from the art classes I taught today. Only 1 week left with my students. I will miss them!

Oldies

As we've been packing today for our move, I came across a few old paintings I did on my teens. They bring back lots of memories for me of sitting at my mom's dining room table and painting... Evening after evening. I did not have much of a social life, lol! I skipped young peoples/youth group more often than I can remember in favour of a painting evening. :)

WIP Mixed Media Portrait

This one is a WIP from the sample I've been doing for my art class students. I've been saving it and just doing a little along with them each Tuesday. But now they are ready for the next section so I can finish it off now. Maybe there'll be time this weekend. Still packing for our big move!

Needle felting

I've been packing things up for our upcoming move and re-found these little needle felted animals - a bunny and a bird.  I made them a couple of years ago, with little crocheted scarves.  Will have to get the needle-felting supplies out again soon.  It was so much fun!

WIP Face

I've been teaching portrait drawing with my students the last couple of weeks.  This week they each worked on painting a portrait.  So much fun and the kids did so well.  It gave me an excuse to start a sample in the class so that is what you see above.  They will continue to work on their portraits next week so I have to 'save' my sample to continue with them. :)

Moving

So we are getting ready for a big move to another province, Manitoba. Lots of work to do to prepare so not much time for arts and crafts. So please pardon the inactivity!
