Vintage Thread & Embroidery Book

A few more vintage finds of late. The threads I actually found in our laundry room. People put things in there that they no longer want, lucky for me! The book I bought at a used book store. I love those Mason jars!

A Few Cards

Here are a few cards I made for someone recently. She was going to use one of them to go along with her wedding gift. She had me match the blues from the wedding invitation and shower gift bag.

More Embroidery

Can't seem to get enough embroidery lately. I really should draw out the patterns for the designs I'm doing so I'll have them for future projects or be able to share them. For now I'm having fun experimenting though!

My New Doll

I got this vintage doll from eBay. When I saw her, I thought she was so beautiful. As you can see, little E thinks she is hers! Gave her a bath and everything.

Turns out this doll is from the early '60's and is named, "Sandy." A clone of "Sindy," from Japan. She is a little larger than Barbie dolls.

A Couple of Vintage Finds

Find these recently. I love the silhouettes. I got them from a flea market. They will be added to a few others that I inherited. The crewel work I got from a church bazaar.

Another Sampler

Last month we went on a road trip to Nova Scotia so I brought along my sewing and embroidery supplies to work on while in the car.

This is what I started in the car, a little sampler. Some vintage fabrics, some new scraps, felt, embroidery thread, buttons, poly fill, ribbon, etc. It's another WIP and I will probably take it along on another road trip this month... to Manitoba.
